Yesterday I let you all know that I am going into the studio to record a Hymns Ep. Well, today I wanted to let you know what songs are going on the record.

This Hymn album will be the first of a series of four records. Each record will have a theme and the first theme is “The Cross”. So the songs that are going on this album are:

1. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
2. Nothing But The Blood
3. Were You There
4. Just As I Am
5. I Surrender All

I got some good news today! This week we are going into the studio in San Diego to record a Hymns Ep. I am teaming up with Tyler Chester(Fiction Family, Pawnshop Kings, and Phil Wickham) to produce this record. He is a great friend and an amazing musician, I truly believe that this album will be great.

This past week I had the privilege to go up to Ojai, California and lead worship for the high school ministry of my church. One of my favorite things in the world is to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and intentionally engage with the Creator of the Universe.

Below is a picture that displays what God was doing in the midst of our students as they sang and responded to Him.

This picture was taken on the second to the last night of the week. We all gathered on the beach and had a great time of fellowship, sharing, and singing. On the last song of the night, I asked the students to turn and face the ocean and sing to our Creator. All of a sudden the response was awesome!!!

I was so blessed at the end of camp and also bummed we had to leave, but then I remembered that we have another week coming up. I really am expecting God to do some radical things.

Ok, here is the deal why I have been out and not posting for awhile. My wife, Hayley, gave birth to the most awesome dude in the world. His name is Hudson or Hud for short. He is the best! I am learning more about the Father’s love for us as I love my son. The pictures are done by my bro in law, Trever Hoehne.

It feels good to be back in action.
